I wanted to address an issue that has been long coming. My custom video rate increase. I know this can be a touchy topic, we’re all on a budget, the economy isn’t great, porn is a luxury. However, it is my livelihood, and as you may have noticed, inflation has been running rampant in North America. I live in Canada, where everything is considerably more expensive even than in the United States, and rising. I haven’t had a rate increase in many many years. Industry standard for custom videos is $10/ min, and my rate has been on that level for several years. In the meantime, my expertise in creating custom fetish porn has increased exponentially, as have my wardrobe, toys and prop collection, I now have a dedicated studio to shoot porn in, and I’m using top of the line equipment.
Last year, I posted about how all of my gear was stolen while I was in the city doing a shoot. I upgraded my video camera to a Canon Mark III DSLR, and I’m using professional quality LED lights, microphone and tripod. My old laptop decided to die as well, and I got a MacBook Pro, to keep production going, and thus I had to buy and get used to using Adobe Premiere to edit! All this has been at great, great expense. You may not realize that porn producers and models pay taxes too. I pay nearly 1/3 of my income into taxes, and as far as fees go to process adult transactions, I pay 15% for that if I’m lucky. So after hearing some background information I hope you don’t find my rate increase to $15/min to be uncalled for. It will help guarantee a high standard of work for you. Thank you.
